WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

To provide the Services, we may collect information about you from a variety of sources, as set out below. The information we collect about you varies depending on how you interact with our Website and use our Services. When we use the term "personal information", we are referring to information that identifies, relates to, describes or can be associated with you. The following sections describe the categories and specific types of information and personal information we collect.  As described in detail below, users provide some information directly, such as information provided in creating an account or purchasing a product, while some information is automatically collected from user devices. We also receive information from our partners and vendors.

You can visit most of our web pages without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. When you visit the Website, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Website, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Website, and information about how you interact with the Website. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information”.

We may also track your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address and your domain name to help us analyze this data for trends and statistics, but you will remain anonymous unless you voluntarily tell us who you are. INFORMATION WE COLLECT DIRECTLY FROM YOU

  • Order products or services from us;

  • Like, tag, link, or otherwise interact with Imparting Duality on Social Media;

  • Sign up for or redeem special offers from us, including those sent by SMS; or

  • Respond to surveys or requests for reviews.

Information that you directly submit to us through our Website, Social Media, or Services may include:

a)      Basic contact details including your name, address, phone number, email address.

b)     Order information including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment method, financial account details, order/shipping history and confirmation, email address, phone number and possibly identity verification information from our payment services.

c)      User account information including your username, password, security questions.

d)     Shopping information including the items you view, put in your cart or add to your wishlist.

e)      Marketing Preferences and details, including if you’ve opted out of all or a portion of direct marketing messages. 

f)       Marketing information, such as interests or other demographic information, provided by our partners, and marketing vendors, which may be used in audience development efforts.

g)      Communication information, including whether you opened any emails, SMS, or other notifications that we sent to you, clicked on any links contained in the emails, SMS, or notifications, and information about the device(s) you used to do so.

h)     Site Usage Information including technical browsing or other information from your use of the Services. This includes IP addresses, preferences, web pages you visited prior to coming to our site, information about your browser, network or device (such as browser type and version, operating system, internet service provider, preference settings, unique device IDs and language and other geographic/regional settings) and information about how you interact with the Services (such as timestamps, clicks, scrolling, browsing times, searches, transactions, referral pages, load times, and problems you may encounter, such as loading errors). If you’re using one of our mobile applications, Website Usage Information could also include your precise location information if your mobile device settings authorize us to collect this information. Some of this information is collected automatically using cookies and similar technologies when you use our Services.

i)        Customer support information including the information you choose to include in communications with us, for example, when sending a message through the Services.

If you register for an Imparting Duality account, interact with our Social Tools, utilize our “Stores” page, or interact with us on social media, the information and content you provide or upload may be visible to other users.  Additionally, if the information or content is posted by you on a page or in a medium that is accessible to the public, we will collect that information and use it for the purposes described in this policy. Third parties might also collect any publicly accessible information or content, and you might receive unsolicited messages from other parties as a result.

Some features of the Services may require you to directly provide us with certain information about yourself. You may elect not to provide this information, but doing so may prevent you from using or accessing these features.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT THROUGH COOKIES

When you use our Website, Social Media, Services, or interact with us, certain personal information may be passively or automatically collected (“Usage Data”), meaning it is gathered without a user actively providing it.  To do this, we may use cookies, pixels and similar technologies ("Cookies"). Usage Data may include information about how you access and use our Website and your account, including device information, browser information, information about your network connection, location (city/state/country), your IP address and other information regarding your interaction with the Website or Services.

a)      Companies who support our Website and Services, such as Squarespace.

b)     Our payment processors, who collect payment information (e.g., bank account, credit or debit card information, billing address) to process your payment in order to fulfill your orders and provide you with products or Services you have requested, in order to perform our contract with you.

c)      When you visit our Website, open or click on emails we send you, or interact with our Services or advertisements, we, or third parties we work with, may automatically collect certain information using online tracking technologies such as pixels, web beacons, software developer kits, third-party libraries, and cookies.

Any information we obtain from third parties will be treated in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We are not responsible or liable for the accuracy of the information provided to us by third parties and are not responsible for any third party's policies or practices. In addition to the specific uses set out below, we may use information we collect about you to communicate with you, provide the Services, comply with any applicable legal obligations, enforce any applicable terms of service, and to protect or defend the Services, our rights, and the rights of our users or others.

When we process your information pursuant to this Privacy Policy, we do so for the following purposes:  

A.     Providing Products and Services. We use your personal information to provide you with the Services, including to verify your identity, process your payments, fulfill your orders, to send notifications to you related to your account, purchases, or other transactions, to create, maintain and otherwise manage your account, to arrange for shipping, and to enable you to post reviews. If you use our payment services, this also includes the set up, management and provision of the payment services to you, and the initiation of transactions on your behalf.

B.     Marketing and Advertising. We use your personal information for marketing and promotional purposes, such as to send marketing, advertising and promotional communications by email, text message or postal mail, and to show you advertisements for products or services. This may include using your personal information and analysis of your interactions with our Services and third parties’ online services to better tailor the Services and advertising on our Website and other websites.

If you submit a request, inquiry, complaint, or comment to us through our website, we may use the information you provide us, such as your Name, Email Address, Mailing Address, or Telephone Number to contact you.

We may de-identify personal information and create anonymous and aggregated data sets and reports for any lawful purposes, including efforts to assess, improve, and develop our business, products, and services, and for other research, marketing, and analytics purposes.

HOW WE DISCLOSE INFORMATION

In certain circumstances, we may disclose your personal information to third parties for legitimate purposes subject to this Privacy Policy. Such circumstances may include:

a)      With service providers or other third parties who provide services, tools or features on our behalf. Those services include IT management; payment processing; data analytics; safety; security; customer support; cloud storage; data storage; fulfillment and shipping; customer relationship management; website hosting and technical support; email or text marketing; other marketing activities; customer service; and business and operations analysis. Our service providers have access to personal information needed to perform their functions but are not permitted to share or use such information for any other purposes. 

b)     With business and marketing partners, including Squarespace, to provide services and advertise to you. For example, we use Squarespace to support personalized advertising with third-party services. Our business and marketing partners will use your information in accordance with their own privacy notices.

c)      Third-party cookie and analytics providers so that we can support the experience and personalization of our Services; perform research and analysis about your use of, or interest in, our Services; and perform marketing activities, which may include audience development and targeting.  Under certain state privacy laws, this disclosure of information may be deemed to be a “sale” or a “share” of your personal information.  As discussed below, you may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for these purposes.

d)     When you direct, request us or otherwise consent to our disclosure of certain information to third parties, such as to ship you products or through your use of social media widgets or login integrations, with your consent.

e)      With our affiliates or otherwise within our corporate group, in our legitimate interests to run a successful business.

f)       With third party plugins and social networks that operate website plugins, social media platforms or similar third party services to improve your experience, at your direction, or when you intentionally interact with the plug-in.

g)      With payments processors when we transmit your payment information via an encrypted connection.

We are not responsible for the privacy or security of any information that you make publicly available, or for the accuracy, use or misuse of any information that you disclose or receive from third parties.

DATA RETENTION & HOW TO OPT-OUT

When you utilize our Services, we will maintain your personal information that you provide us as long as we consider it potentially useful in contacting you about our products and Services, or as needed to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements or to protect our or others’ interests. We will also retain usage data for internal analysis or to strengthen the security or improve the functionality of our Services.

The precise periods for which we keep your information vary depending on the nature of the information and why we need it. Factors we consider in determining these periods include the minimum required retention period prescribed by law or recommended as best practice, the period during which a claim can be made with respect to an agreement or other matter, whether the information has been aggregated or pseudonymized, and other relevant criteria.

We will delete this information, if legally allowable, from the servers at an earlier date if you so request by unsubscribing, opting-out, or emailing us at support@impartingduality.com.

Please note that in the course of providing the Services, we may create, collect and/or maintain de-personalized information, which we may retain indefinitely. Personal information may be transferred and stored to servers outside the United States.

Our Website may provide links to websites or other online platforms operated by third parties. If you follow links to sites not affiliated or controlled by us, you should review their privacy and security policies and other terms and conditions. AGE OF CONSENT

Our Services are not directed at children under the age of majority in your state or province of residence, and we do not knowingly collect, sell, or share personal information from children under the age of majority in your state or province of residence. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their minor dependant’s internet usage and to help enforce this policy.

Regardless of the precautions we take, no transmission of data over the internet is guaranteed to be completely secure. It may be possible for third parties not under our control to intercept or access transmissions or private communications unlawfully. Please note that we do not alter our Website’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.
